Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian TV presenter and actress. Her most well-known work is the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Born as the only one child to Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu Alexandra, she entered showbiz early and landed up performing lead roles in various shows on television by the time she was sixteen. Her acclaimed and critically acclaimed performance in the TV film that was made to air Der Tunnel paved way for some other memorable roles such as that of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge. The role was in the commercially and critically popular Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the female diva. In the past, Alexandra has appeared in many important international and national productions. The British biographical documentary Control the Greek film The Dust of Time, and the French historical miniseries Napoleon are just a few of them. Additionally, she was one of the members of both Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
