Aisling Bea

Aisling is a popular Irish comedian who has been around for a long time. Her birthplace was in Kildare Ireland on 16th March 1984. The comedian has appeared featured on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16 March 1984) is a comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea started her professional career in stand-up comedy in 2011, following small parts she played in Irish and British TV dramas beginning in 2009. She began appearing regularly on sketch comedy and sitcoms in 2012. After she was awarded an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA) in 2012, she began appearing frequently in panel shows. She has been a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since the year 2016 and is one of the most popular contestants on the sequel 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister who is named Sinead. She was in 2012 the second woman to ever receive the So You Think You're Funny award. The surname of Bea is in honor of her father who passed away. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan is the daughter of a Kildare woman who was born in Kildare. Born on March 16th 1984. She was the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan. Brian was a veterinarian for horses who committed suicide when Bea was three years old. She did not know what happened to him until she was 13. Bea adopted the stage name Bea to pay tribute to her father and published an article in The Guardian in 2017 about the family's suicide experience. Bea's mom Helen, who is also a jockey-trainer and former pro jockey was responsible for raising her and Sinead. Their family was in love with racing and horses. Bea was a guide at her family's involvement at the Irish National Stud in her early teens. However, she knew, that racing wasn't what she wanted to be as a profession and preferred doing.
